We have received a "Custom Deluxe Stratocaster," a model that combines the best features of classic Fenders with the advantages of modern models. This is a 2011 model in Sapphire Blue Transparent, weighing 3.67kg.

At that time, the Custom Shop versions of the regular line's mainstays, the "American Standard" and "American Deluxe," were positioned as "Custom Classic" and "Custom Deluxe." In terms of current models, it would be like the Custom Shop version of the "American Ultra."

With that background in mind, the greatest feature of this model is its modern specifications that embody contemporary needs and outstanding playability. The body is made of lightweight ash wood with a subtle grain, and the neck is made of maple with a dense array of bird's-eye maple. The fingerboard is rosewood, and the dot inlays shine luxuriously even on the sides.
The neck shape is a versatile C type. With a 9.5R radius, 22 frets, medium jumbo frets, a 2-point tremolo, and a heel cut, it achieves a modern play feel. The tuners are locking type, and tuning stability is excellent.

It is equipped with three single-coil pickups that appear to be original. The sound is hard and cutting, with an overall clear and articulate quality. You can fully enjoy the exquisite, easy-to-use Stratocaster sound paired with a luxury appearance.

The controls are a simple 1 volume/2 tone and 5-way selector, a classic Fender design that is easy to use and meets the demands of players.

For those who prefer a versatile, modern-style Stratocaster, this is the model we would most highly recommend. We think you'll clearly hear the difference in sound quality between the Custom Shop and the regular line. You could even boldly change the bridge pickup to a humbucker and modify it into an all-around SSH guitar, and it would still look good.

The gritty highs are pleasing, and you can play it comfortably for a long time. It seems to be made for stage use, as it comes with locking strap pins from the start. This Custom Deluxe has a unique tone and appearance that is simply flawless!

When examining a truss rod on a straight neck, we check that it can turn up to about 45 degrees in both directions. When we say the truss rod can be adjusted, we mean it can be adjusted up to 45 degrees. Anything beyond that risks damaging the instrument.
