Coloursound Power Boost pedal, made famous by none other than David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Gilmour afficionados now know the original Coloursound Power Boost was an incredibly loud pedal. It essentially required a dual stack of quad speakers to even begin to sound decent. Anything less and the Coloursound Power Boost simply sounds atrocious!

Enter Buffalo FX...who took on this iconic design and dialed the 18-Volt Power Booster to absolute perfection. The Buffalo FX Power Booster sounds absolutely sublime whether played on small bedroom setups, mid-sized guitar systems or full-on professional stadium rigs. Many have asked "what is the signature sound of the Buffalo FX Power Booster?" My best answer to this is the Buffalo FX Power Booster sounds like the wide open overdriven guitar sounds heard on such Pink Floyd classics as Dark Side of the Moon, Meddle, Obscured by Clouds and Atom Heart Mother. It also exhibits a beautiful "Led Zeppelin II" quality to your guitar sound.

Buffalo FX knocked the ball out of the park with the 18-Volt Power Booster! Sadly, the company has ceased to exist and it appears there will be no more pedals from this outstanding designer.

This particular pedal is the original all-orange "first" edition of the 18-Volt Power Booster.
