For sale is my Fender Amp Custom Shop Tone Master 100 watt tube head. Very loud amp. I would say it covers clean to medium high gain. Recently serviced with a fresh set of JJ 6L6 power tubes and a clean bill of health at Fuchs Audio in Clifton, NJ. Given the age of the amp (20+ years old), I would say it is in very good condition.
A few things to note regarding the condition of the amp:
- previous owner removed the piggyback clip bars from the bottom of the head
- previous owner scratched in serial number as shown in the picture
- front grill is slightly concave due to the wood bending over time
This was a custom order from Fender Amp Custom Shop, using the brown vinyl instead of the blonde commonly found stock on these Tone Master heads.
Found out about this head from a video detailing the recording process for "My Hero" by Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl used this amp to record guitars for that song and also is a notable user of the amp for live performances of that era.
