PRICED TO SELL :: Vintage 1956 Shure Unidyne 55S Dynamic Microphone – Clean, Working, w/ recent retro fit XLR Cable. Plug and play. Based on Shure’s historical manufacturing codes (Serial/Date Code: 5624), this unit was produced during the 24th week of 1956. This microphone was used reliably at The Oritani Field Club, which was located at 18 Camden Street in Hackensack, NJ, until 1986. At that time, it was placed into climate-controlled storage, where it has safely remained for the last 40 years.

This Mic is 100% fully functional. Adjustable L/M/H impedance switch on the back works perfectly. The chrome plating is clean, and free of major pitting or heavy wear. The internal acoustic windscreen cloth is intact with only small hole up top. It shows normal, honest age-related color shifting/fading, which is expected for a completely original 70-year-old fabric.
