For sale is a phenomenal example of a 1974 Fender Dual Showman Reverb "Silverface" head. Amp delivers the legendary Silverface sparkle and warmth with incredible headroom, making it one of the ultimate pedal platforms. At 85 watts, it's the perfect volume for both stage and studio, capable of staying clean at loud volumes or breaking into rich, musical overdrive when pushed.
Condition: This Dual Showman Reverb is in Excellent vintage condition. The original tolex and grill cloth are in good shape for its age, with only minor signs of wear that add to its authentic character. The faceplate is in new conidtion. Functionally, both channels work perfectly, the controls are responsive.
Professional and Thoughtful Service: This Dual Showman Reverb has been professionally serviced with a focus on safety and reliability while preserving as much of the original circuit and tone as possible. The goal was to make it gig-ready for years to come, without changing parts unnecessarily.
The following essential service has been completed:
- Power Supply Caps: All filter capacitors (in the doghouse) have been replaced.
- Removed: Death Cap.
- Basic Maintance: Clean and Deoxit all Pots. 'Burnished' all Jacks (1/4" and 1/8").
- Added Adjustable Bias: Added Adjustable Bias to help the 6L6gc's to to thier Maximum power
- Fixed 'Ticking' issue with Tremolo: Added parts to fix issue.
All other circuit components, including other iconic parts are original to the amp and are functioning perfectly. The original transformers, the heart and soul of the amp's tone, are intact.
