3The Westone Rainbow I in translucent or antique walnut is a vintage semi-hollowbody electric guitar built in Japan's Matsumoku factory during the early 1980s. [1, 2, 3, 4]Key Specifications (Version 1, 1981–1982)
- Body: Laminated Canadian ash with a translucent walnut finish.
- Neck: 3-ply maple with a rosewood fingerboard.
- Scale & Frets: 24.75-inch scale with 22 frets and a brass nut.
- Center Block: Solid maple.
- Hardware: Long-travel Azusa steel bridge with brass saddles and a plain tailpiece.
- Electronics: Two uncovered Magnet A750 pickups with individual volume and tone controls housed in shielded steel cans. [1, 2]
Later versions (1982–1984) featured updated f-hole shapes, covered Super Twin 750 pickups, and a multi-wood center block. [1]
