The Martin D12X1AE is a gig-ready 12-string dreadnought from Martin’s X Series. Designed to offer classic Martin volume and 12-string chime at an accessible price point, it pairs a solid wood top with highly durable High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) back and sides and onboard Fishman electronics.
Tonewoods & Construction- Top: Solid Sitka Spruce with non-scalloped X-bracing ($5/16\text{"}$ 12-string pattern), providing clarity, projection, and the dynamic headroom needed for 12-string strumming.
- Back & Sides: Mahogany pattern High-Pressure Laminate (HPL), offering enhanced resistance to temperature and humidity fluctuations.
- Neck Profile: Rust Birch Laminate neck cut to Martin's Low Profile shape with a hand-rubbed finish for a fast, comfortable playing feel.
- Fingerboard & Bridge: FSC® Certified Richlite®, an eco-friendly composite material that resists warping and cracking under high string tension.
- Fishman Sonitone System: Discreet soundhole-mounted controls for Volume and Tone with an under-saddle piezo pickup that preserves the guitar's acoustic appearance.
- Bridge & Nut: Compensated white Tusq saddle with a Corian nut to ensure accurate intonation across all 12 strings.
