The Torpedo Captor is a compact, easy-to-use reactive loadbox designed to get the most out of your favorite tube amp in a variety of modern applications. Reactive Loadbox

The Captor uses reactive load technology to accurately replicate the impedance characteristics of a speaker cabinet. This allows you to run your tube amp without a physical cabinet while maintaining the feel and response of a real speaker load. It's an excellent option for home use, studio recording, and live applications where managing volume is important.

Analog Speaker Simulation

The Captor includes an analog speaker simulation derived from Two Notes' acclaimed Le Preamp series. This provides a focused, polished direct sound when sending your amp signal to a PA, monitor, or recording setup. For even more flexibility, the Captor can be paired with a Torpedo C.A.B. or other IR loader for access to a wide range of cabinet simulations.

Attenuation

If you want to keep your speaker cabinet connected, the Captor provides both Speaker THRU and -20 dB ATT outputs. The attenuation option lets you push your tube amp into its sweet spot while keeping the overall volume at a more manageable level.

Compact Format

About the size of a large DI box, the Captor is easy to integrate into a pedalboard, studio rack, or live rig. This is the 8-ohm version, so it is intended for use with amplifiers that require an 8-ohm load.
