EarthQuaker Devices’ Acapulco Gold is a power amp distortion pedal modeled after the sound of a cranked Sunn Model T. It delivers massive, blown-out saturation with a single-knob interface that controls output level while the internal gain stays fully open. The result is raw, explosive distortion with huge low end and thick harmonic grind.

• Single Level control adjusts output while the circuit runs at full gain, producing consistent, high-saturation power amp distortion.
• Responds strongly to guitar volume and pick attack, allowing cleanup or full-tilt fuzz?like roar without extra controls.
• Voiced after a dimed Sunn Model T, giving heavy low-end punch, thick mids, and aggressive harmonic texture.
• Simple layout and high headroom make it easy to drop into any rig for instant, amp-style wall-of-sound distortion.
