This is a very clean 319 with a perfect capsule and has the standard mod kit from billsrecording.com which replaces all the electrical components other than the transformer to increase clarity, headroom and improve tone.
The plastic diffuser on the capsule is removed for flatter tone and the switches have been removed from the circuit for cleaner signal and less noise.
I’ve messed with many of these and this was my personal best for vocals - very smooth and vibey, dark sound. I’ve compared it with a stock mic and it’s just a cleaner, less honky and less scratchy version of that great mic, but same unique character.
