Beautiful 1988 Fender Vintage Series ’57 Stratocaster Reissue, purchased from an adult collector and exceptionally well preserved for nearly 40 years old. This is an early-era American Vintage-style reissue built to capture the look, feel and specifications of a 1957 Strat.

Finished in classic 2-Color Sunburst with a one-piece maple neck, vintage-radius fingerboard, single-ply white pickguard and vintage-style hardware. Period examples feature an alder body, 7.25” fingerboard radius, 21 vintage-style frets and three American Vintage ’57 single-coil pickups.

The guitar is in very good condition, showing only light finish swirling and handling wear consistent with careful ownership. The nitro lacquer along portions of the maple fingerboard/fret edges has begun to lift and age, a cosmetic characteristic seen on older lacquer-finished maple Fender necks. Frets have plenty of life remaining, and the guitar plays beautifully with low action.

A killer, highly complete late-‘80s ’57 Reissue with the kind of case candy and overall preservation that’s getting increasingly difficult to find.
