Up for sale is a classic piece: a 1960's Gibson GA-19RVT Falcon 15-Watt 1x12" Tube Combo Amp.
Known for its warm, saturated 6V6 tube breakdown, glorious spring reverb, and hypnotic organic tremolo, the Falcon is a studio and small-stage powerhouse from Gibson's revered front-panel era. This is not a collector grade, as the tweed cabinet has been resurfaced, a new chassis was rebent (new knobs and lettering), numerous components of the circuitry have been replaced (see photos) and it has upgraded 3 prong power cord. However, its sounds as good as the original! The speaker is an original 12-inch Utah Electronics speaker manufactured in late February 1962 specifically for Gibson. Reverb tank is original, but the original chassis was not saved, so we don't know the production year of the chassis. The speaker info eludes to the early 60's.
The cabinet was recovered and the amp used for several gigs. It now shows standard wear, scuffs, and aging appropriate for its age. Please review the extensive photos carefully to see the details of both the rebuilt chassis assembly. Check out Youtube videos to hear it in multi tone operation.
