Unit had a few extra adhesive "feet" that, when you remove the factory ones, provide a platform for smaller stands, or bumpy desktops. I got it with them on there and they turned out to be usefull so I left them. They can be removed without damage finish.
I WILL ship the above photographed retail box inside of a proper shipping box. That being said, the box appears to have taken at least one trip sans condom through the callous and despicable land known as the US domestic shipping infrastructure, so be aware, the box isn't pretty. The RD-8 is fine.
Note: The power supply has also been separately wrapped in foam to prevent abrasion of the drum machine during shipping.
