Boss MT-2 Metal Zone Distortion pedal with my VALVESTACK switchable Mod. I really disliked this pedal with IMO it's whiney nasal distortion sound. I set out to cure this by hot rodding the pedal. I removed some components and replaced / upgraded others. Added a huge 1uf metal film Cap to give the Eq much, much more range, I also added a variable Trim Resistor to R46 as a balance to help to increase or decrease Mids. Also I added a second trim was added which when turned Anti Clockwise increases the distortion and visa versa. In Robert Keeley style, I added a diode switch in order to switch between 1N34a Germanium Diodes or twin red LEDs. a blue LED was added to top the mods off.

What resulted was a huge angry spitting Valve amp sound in the style of a Boogie etc. This pedal is entirely changed and the adjustments that can be made to the pedal is amazing. Trust me you are going to love this pedal now.
