Inspired by his cherished 1920s vintage Martin, the 000-10E Shawn Mendes upgrades Martin’s stage-proven Road Series 000 with a suite of stylish signature features. Every tonewood on Shawn’s signature 6-string has been certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) to ensure sustainable sourcing, starting with a solid spruce top and a solid sapele body. Scalloped X-bracing makes the most of these fine timbers, supplying a warm, clear, and balanced voice with muscular bass and room-filling projection. Factor in the versatile 000 body, and the result is a mid-sized instrument that delivers a full, responsive tone, whether delicately fingerpicked or strummed with gusto. Next, Shawn put his own spin on the time-honored 000 recipe with a distinctive Mendes Eagle inlay atop an ebony fingerboard and a custom faux tortoiseshell pickguard. As for playability, a select hardwood neck in a fast-playing Performing Artist profile sports a speedy satin finish and a wide 1.75-inch nut width to accommodate players of all styles and backgrounds. A performance-ready Martin E1 electronics package and chromed closed-gear tuning machines seal the deal, all adding up to a powerhouse acoustic-electric crafted to accompany you on any stage.
