Developed around Richard Fortus' requirements for professional live use, this model combines the distinctive character of a Gretsch Falcon with a construction particularly well suited to modern rock applications.

The 17" double-cutaway laminated maple body features a lightweight chambered spruce center block, helping improve attack and feedback resistance while retaining the resonance and openness expected from a semi-hollow instrument.

Its maple set neck has a comfortable Standard “U” profile, 24.6" scale length and 12"-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets.

A pair of Custom Wound Filter'Tron pickups was developed specifically for the Fortus Signature models. They retain the chime, definition and low-end response associated with traditional Filter'Trons while adding the midrange presence required for driven rhythm and lead tones.

Controls include a master volume with treble bleed, no-load master tone and three-way pickup selector.

The V-Stoptail and TonePros TP6 Tune-O-Matic bridge provide a straightforward and stable setup particularly suited to players who do not require a Bigsby.
