Excellent condition 1969 Martin D-28 in natural. No breaks, no overspray/refinish and completely original (outside of the swapped Grover tuners) down to the original Martin hardshell case pictured. This example has seen an incredibly well kept life, as is shown in the flawless back and sides. Beautiful early Indian Rosewood that Martin was just transitioning to with this example only being a few serial numbers off from the first batch. The original bridge is not lifting at all, and this example is not in need of a neck reset. No dead spots or buzzing frets all the way up the neck. This example has a beautifully airy and open tone, and carries volume very nicely. This specific neck feels wonderfully played in without the usual gauges, nicks, etc. The headstock face and back are even free of the normal Martin gauges and rounding of the headstock face. Just an astonishing well kept example that has so many more years of life to give. The original Grover tuners spin nicely and hold tune well. It truly is hard to find an imperfection on this example outside of some sweat wear on the top as pictured. and I am so pleased to offer it for sale.
