Direct clone of the iconic Boss DS-1 Distortion, specifically modeled after the famous Keeley "Ultra Mod" version of that pedal. The 3-way toggle switch on the Mooer pedal lets you select between three distinct modded eras of this circuit:
Original Mode: This replicates the classic, stock Boss DS-1 sound [1]—a tight, aggressive, biting distortion with a slightly scooped midrange.
Extra Mode: This mimics the Keeley "Seeing Eye" mod, which swaps out the stock clipping diodes for an LED. It gives you more tube-like dynamics, higher output volume, and a warmer, less harsh top-end.
Ultra Mode: This mimics the Keeley "Ultra" mod, which adds extra bass response and a fatter, wider, more modern high-gain distortion texture perfect for fat solos.
