The Yamaha MOTIF ES7 is a 76-key professional music-production workstation/synthesizer from Yamaha's MOTIF ES series, introduced in the early 2000s. It sits between the 61-key ES6 and 88-key ES8 and was designed for live performance, sound creation, sequencing, sampling, and studio production. Yamaha lists the ES7 as a discontinued model.

Sounds
One of the ES7's biggest strengths is its extensive collection of sampled sounds. It includes realistic pianos, electric pianos, organs, strings, brass, guitars, basses, drums and synthesizers.
Yamaha's Mega Voice technology was particularly notable. It incorporates things such as guitar mutes, harmonics, slides and other performance nuances into the samples, allowing acoustic instruments to sound more realistic when used in sequences.
Workstation and sequencing
The ES7 isn't simply a synthesizer. It's a full music workstation. Its sequencer provides 16 sequence tracks, while the workstation can also incorporate sampled audio into songs. The sequencer has approximately 226,000-note capacity at 480 ppq resolution.
It can also be expanded with optional sample RAM, allowing users to load their own samples and create customized sounds. Yamaha's ES series supported up to 512 MB of sample RAM.
