Offered for sale is a Yamaha WX5 Wind MIDI Controller combined with the Yamaha VL70-m Virtual Acoustic Tone Generator With Patchman Turbo VL chip — the classic Yamaha wind-controller system specifically designed to work together.

This is an unusually complete and exceptionally clean example of the WX5/VL70-m combination. Both units are in Excellent condition with very little visible wear.

The WX5 connects directly to the VL70-m using the original Yamaha proprietary WX cable, which allows the VL70-m to provide power to the WX5 through the WX connection. Yamaha’s own WX5 documentation identifies the VL70-m as being designed for optimum matching with Yamaha WX-series Wind MIDI Controllers and specifically describes connecting the WX5 to the VL70-m with the WX cable.

CONDITION

Both units are in Excellent cosmetic condition, with almost no visible wear for their age.

The WX5 body, keys, controls and connectors are in very clean condition.

The VL70-m is also exceptionally clean, including the front panel, controls and display.

There are Two  proprietary WX cable is included and the connectors appear clean and undamaged. ( both tested and working )

The WX5 and VL70-m are being offered together as a matched system so the buyer receives the equipment necessary to use the Yamaha WX connection between the two Yamaha units.

WHY THIS COMBINATION IS SPECIAL

The Yamaha WX5 is a sophisticated Wind MIDI Controller capable of producing expressive musical control through breath pressure, fingering and other performance information.

The Yamaha VL70-m was specifically designed to complement Yamaha WX-series Wind MIDI Controllers. Its Virtual Acoustic technology was designed to produce highly expressive modeled wind-instrument sounds rather than simply triggering conventional sampled notes.
