Up for sale, a 1982 Yamaha Limited Edition SG800S in perfect working order, 100% original save for a replacement nut. A rare custom color example, the Dark Blue finish was one of six unique finishes offered in ‘82 (Dark Blue arguably being the rarest). The little brother of the venerable SG2000 (known as the "Les Paul Killer" for numerous, very good reasons), the SG800S is a synthesis of the previous SG600 and SG800 models.

Weighing 9lbs 15oz, this SG800S boasts set-neck construction, a carved maple top, and solid mahogany body, taking Gibson's tried and true tonewood combination and utilizing it to great effect. Plugged in, the low end is clear, broad, and punchy, while the treble response has a silky, singing quality. Both humbuckers feature individual push/push coil taps too, offering sparkling single coil tonalities. This SG800S benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
