The Mackie Onyx8 is a compact 8x4 analog mixer built to sit at the center of a home studio, live rig or mobile sound setup. Four Onyx mic preamps deliver 60dB of clean gain with a wide, open frequency response and ultra-low noise, so vocals and instruments come through the mix clear and full-bodied from the very first gain stage.

Every channel gets 3-band British-style Perkins EQ with a hard bypass switch for quickly comparing your tone against the flat signal, and switchable hi-Z inputs let you plug guitars and basses straight in without a separate DI box. A 100Hz low-cut filter and 48V phantom power are available on the mic channels, and Bluetooth lets you stream a phone or tablet straight into the aux sends or main mix for background music or playback tracks.

Multitrack recording runs over USB at up to 24-bit/96kHz, and an SD card slot adds simple stereo recording and playback without a computer connected. The Studio Command full-color LCD puts FX control and SD card management right at your fingertips, with Dynamic FX presets you can dial in and recall through a single-knob interface, all housed in a rugged steel chassis with QuickGrip carry handles.
