The Brauner Phanthera is a hand assembled boutique microphone no longer in production. Many feel that the Phanthera FET Microphone is the impressive proof that a phantom powered non-tube microphone can sound amazingly close to a real tube microphone. Often used for capturing vocals with a signature intensity and liveliness. This mic is unobtrusive, almost imperceptible, it creates finely elaborate and highly nuanced sonic details. Narration recordings also have clear gains in proximity and plasticity. Instrumental recordings with the Phanthera stand out due to the enormous detail resolution and first-class transient response. I no longer record vocals so it is time for this exceptional mic to find a new home. Used in a smoke free studio.
