Suhr Standard Plus HSS Maple Trans Blue Denim Slate – Brand New

This brand-new Suhr Standard Plus in Trans Blue Denim Slate combines a figured maple top with a roasted maple neck and fingerboard. The blue-grey finish and scraped binding deserve a close look in the detail photographs.

A basswood body, Even C Slim neck profile, 10–14-inch compound radius and heavy stainless steel frets form the core specification. The HSS pickup layout uses V60 single coils in the neck and middle positions and an SSH+ humbucker at the bridge. Suhr’s SSCII passive system reduces single-coil hum.

Suhr locking tuners, a two-post tremolo with steel block and a TUSQ nut complete the hardware. A Suhr Travel Pro Premium softshell case is included. Trans Blue Denim Slate over Flame Maple

One of the standout features of this guitar is undoubtedly its finish.

The Trans Blue Denim Slate finish combines deep blue and grey tones while still allowing the figuring of the Flame Maple top to remain clearly visible. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the character of the top changes beautifully.

The scraped natural binding provides a subtle contrast around the edge of the maple top and gives the guitar an especially refined, premium appearance.

Suhr currently lists Trans Blue Denim Slate as one of the available Standard Plus finishes.

A modern interpretation of the S-style guitar

The Suhr Standard body is slightly downsized compared with a traditional S-style design and features sharper edge radii and slightly longer horns.

The result is a guitar that retains the familiar ergonomics of a traditional double-cut instrument while looking noticeably sleeker and more contemporary.

The Basswood body and Flame Maple top combination is perfectly suited to this type of modern, versatile instrument, while the figured top gives the transparent finish its spectacular visual depth.

Roasted Maple neck and fingerboard

This version features both a Roasted Maple neck and Roasted Maple fingerboard.

V60 single coils + SSH+ humbucker

The two Suhr V60 single coils provide clear, dynamic and expressive tones with plenty of sparkle and definition. They excel at clean sounds, funk, blues, pop and edge-of-breakup tones.

Move to the bridge position and the SSH+ humbucker takes the guitar into much more powerful territory.

Even C Slim neck & compound radius

Suhr's Even C Slim .800"-.880" neck profile has a relatively slim and fast feel without becoming excessively thin.

The 10"-14" compound radius gradually becomes flatter as you move towards the higher frets. This provides comfortable chord work lower on the neck while allowing large bends and fast lead playing further up the fingerboard.

The Heavy Stainless Steel frets add to the exceptionally smooth playing feel and offer outstanding resistance to fret wear.
