This brand-new Suhr Classic S in 3 Tone Burst adds an SSV bridge humbucker to the familiar Classic S platform. V60LP single coils in the neck and middle positions make this HSS version suitable for players who want both pickup types in one guitar.

An alder body and tinted maple neck are paired with a maple fingerboard. The 60’s C Vintage Standard neck profile, 9–12-inch compound radius and medium stainless steel frets define the playing specification. SSCII passive hum reduction is fitted for the single coils.

The hardware includes Suhr locking tuners, a two-post tremolo and a TUSQ nut. Supplied with a Suhr soft case. Available from The Guitarshop in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. We check and set up our guitars before dispatch. Contact us through Reverb with any questions.

Classic tone, modern performance

The Classic S is Suhr's interpretation of one of the most familiar electric guitar designs ever made, but without being restricted by vintage specifications.

The 60's C Vintage Standard neck profile offers a substantial yet very comfortable feel, while the 9"-12" compound radius gradually becomes flatter as you move up the neck. This makes chord work comfortable in the lower positions while allowing bends and lead playing higher up the neck with ease.

The Medium Stainless Steel frets provide an exceptionally smooth playing surface and offer outstanding resistance to fret wear.

V60LP single coils + SSV humbucker

The HSS configuration is one of the biggest strengths of this guitar.

The V60LP pickups deliver the clarity, sparkle and dynamic response associated with a great traditional single coil, making the neck and middle positions ideal for clean sounds, blues, funk and edge-of-breakup tones.

Move to the bridge position and the SSV humbucker gives you the additional output and fullness needed for overdriven rhythm parts and lead tones, without turning the guitar into an overly aggressive high-output instrument.

SSCII – single-coil character without the unwanted hum

Suhr equips the Classic S with its SSCII Silent Single Coil System II, designed to dramatically reduce traditional 60-cycle single-coil hum while retaining the character of the pickups.

The system is passive, so no battery is required.

Built to be played

Suhr's proprietary locking tuners make string changes quick and help provide excellent tuning stability, while the 2-Post Tremolo gives you the expressive feel of a traditional tremolo system with the stability expected from a modern professional instrument.

The result is a guitar that feels immediately familiar but noticeably refined: vintage-inspired where it matters, modern where it counts.

Whether you're looking for one premium instrument to cover a wide range of styles, a professional stage and studio guitar, or simply one of the finest modern interpretations of the classic S-style design, the Suhr Classic S HSS is an exceptional choice.
