A rare opportunity to acquire a superb Gibson Custom “Inspired By” Alex Lifeson ES-355 from the original 2008 limited edition of 300 instruments. Finished in striking Alpine White, this collector-grade example has been owned by me from new and has spent almost its entire life safely stored in its original hard case.

I bought the guitar when the limited edition was released. It has been played fewer than a handful of times and taken out only occasionally to breathe and to show family and friends. You can see the pickguard shows no wear, the frets show no wear, and the bindings remain immaculate.

Condition & Full Disclosure

The guitar is in near-mint condition, as shown in the photographs. For complete transparency, I can identify only two very minor imperfections:

1.          An extremely small pink blemish beneath the nitrocellulose lacquer, above the left-hand f-hole when the guitar is viewed from the front.

2.          A very small, almost negligible, hairline crack in the nitrocellulose lacquer on the right-hand horn when viewed from the front.

I have photographed both areas as clearly as possible. Prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect all photographs and ask any questions before purchase.

I have decided to ship the guitar at my own expense to make for a better buying experience. The guitar will be supplied in its original hard case and securely packed inside a cardboard shipping box. The fully packed parcel weighs 13 kg and measures 122 × 58 × 18 cm. This is likely going to cost me somewhere in the region of the following values:

·       Europe: approximately £165–£340

·       USA: approximately £260–£510

·       Rest of the world: approximately £300–£710+

These figures include an allowance for specialist full-value transit cover. Exact delivery cost I will pay will of course depend on the destination postcode, available courier service and insurance terms. International buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes and customs-clearance charges.
