Downsizing my collection, I'm parting with this Epiphone Les Paul Gothic, manufactured in Korea in 2003. This one is definitely a Les Paul built for metalheads, with mahogany body and (set) neck, rosewood fingerboard and a gorgeous full black finish, emphasized by the single 12th fret "XII" inlay.

It has a thinner body than traditional Les Pauls (similar to an ESP/LTD Eclipse), making it way lighter, this one being weighed at 3.26 kgs.

This guitar has been (carefully and with great taste, in my opinion) modified by a previous owner, meaning I can't provide the original parts:

• pickups replaced with an EMG 81/60 active set, using solderless EMG pots (2 volumes + 1 tone)
• selector switch added in one of the potentiometer holes (original selector is bypassed)
• Planet Waves (now D'Addario) auto-trim locking tuners
• Schaller Strap Lock-compatible strap pins
• pickguard and truss-rod cover removed

The battery is located inside the electronics cavity (see photos).

The guitar is in good shape, never suffered any breakage and doesn't exhibit many dings despite its age. It IS a player though, as one can see from the satin finish having been polished in several places over time (most notably on the neck back, around the controls et on the edge where the forearm rests).
