Fender Made in Japan Hybrid Telecaster Deluxe in beautiful Sherwood Green, with a dark rosewood fingerboard and dual US Shawbucker humbuckers.
This is a particularly attractive example. The Sherwood Green has a subtle metallic character that changes nicely with the light, and the rosewood fingerboard is an especially rich, dark brown.
Condition:
Excellent pre-owned condition.
The most notable cosmetic wear consists of scratches and pick wear on the pickguard and body, which I have done my best to photograph, including the worst areas. Otherwise, the guitar presents extremely well.
Neck / Playability:
Fender officially describes the neck as a U shape. I do not have measurements, so I don't want to overstate the profile based solely on feel. To me, this particular guitar feels fairly middle-of-the-road in thickness. It's definitely not a slinky neck, but by no means a large baseball bat either.
I played other examples of this model where the U profile was much more apparent. On this particular guitar, the profile feels neutral enough that if someone described it as C-like, I wouldn't find that surprising.
The fretwork feels excellent, and fret wear is minimal to negligible.
