Vintage Ibanez TM5 Thrashmetal analog distortion pedal from the Soundtank series, made in Taiwan.

This is the black plastic-enclosure version produced during the 1990s. Based on its relatively high serial number (361261), CE-marked rear label and comparison with other documented Soundtank examples, it is believed to date from approximately 1997–1998. Ibanez Soundtank serial numbers do not provide an officially documented production date, so the exact year cannot be guaranteed.

The TM5 delivers an aggressive, high-gain distortion designed for thrash metal, heavy metal and hard rock. It provides a tight, cutting distortion with plenty of gain and sustain.

Controls:

• Level
• Tone
• Distortion

The pedal has been fully tested and works correctly. The footswitch, LED, all three controls, input and output jacks, battery connection and external power socket operate as they should.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTE:

The movable plastic footswitch cover has a visible crack, as clearly shown in the dedicated close-up and internal photographs. The cover remains usable, and the crack does not currently prevent the footswitch or pedal from operating correctly. However, this is a structural cosmetic defect and has been fully disclosed so that the buyer can assess its condition accurately.

The pedal also shows normal signs of use, including scratches, marks and general surface wear. Two strips of hook-and-loop fastener have been applied to the metal bottom plate for pedalboard mounting. The original yellow front label remains complete and clearly readable.

Please examine all photographs carefully, particularly the close-up photographs of the cracked cover, as they form an important part of the description.
