For sale is my Ibanez FLATV1-BK Josh Smith Signature, made in Japan.
This is Ibanez’s original Josh Smith signature model, based around a T-style design but with a number of features that make it a very different instrument from a conventional Telecaster.
The FLATV1 features an ash body, amazing one-piece roasted maple neck and roasted maple fingerboard, Soft V neck profile, Seymour Duncan FLAT5 single-coil pickups and premium Gotoh hardware with Ibanez/Gotoh In-Tune saddles.
The guitar has a fantastic combination of traditional Tele character and a more substantial, articulate voice. The Soft V neck is particularly good for blues, rock and lead playing, while the FLAT5 pickups have considerably more authority than a typical vintage Tele pickup.
