Nobelium DI Preamp v.2 Premium (Noble Clone) - feat. The Rev, 2026 - Black on Silver

The Rev. from Down Under (Australia) has done it again with this premium build with upgraded power filters and twin HPF settings!

This crazy build includes:

• All tube gain & buffer signal path.
• Upgraded HiFi Power Filter to reduce pedal cross-talk.
• Upgraded HPF switch: OFF / 90Hz / 45Hz.
• Classic U.S. made, B&K 600 tested Sylvania 12AU7A tubes built for low microphonics/noise in Baldwin manufacturing in 1964.
• All Vishay Dale, military spec, metal film resistors.
• WIMA, Kemet, or Vishay capacitors each selected best-fit for purpose.
• Neutrik 1/4" jacks
• Black anodised aluminium knobs
• A custom [E4305] Unagi Magnetics D.I. transformer... these are a beast for flat response and dynamics for both bass and guitar.

If you're wondering if this was an expensive build... yes it was. But truly, this is the Royal Treatment a Nobelium deserves.

This preamp and DI has a wide frequency response perfect for bass or guitar and includes a switchable HPF to cut down on unnecessary rumble. The standard 90Hz HPF too much? No problems, select the 45Hz instead!

This Nobelium is a hand wired clone of the Noble Preamp DI with the bare circuit board sourced from Conspiracy to Commit Electronics (Designed by SushiBox).

It uses any standard 9 Volt centre negative power supply which can provide 550mA [see image]. A Cioks DC7 ran it easily during testing, just let those beautiful tubes warm up. Remember, this pedal runs the tubes at a proper high voltage.

Please note there is no advantage in using more than 9 Volts and you will need a power supply that can provide 600mA: you risk damaging the pedal and will void your warranty if you do not.

The pedal is super pedalboard friendly with Input, Output and DC Power on top with the transformer XLR Direct Out (with a ground lift switch [up]) on the left.

Volume/Bass/Treble: The EQ is boost only so has its flat frequency response at all off.

The blue trim-pot inside adjusts the level of the DI. It has been set at about 3/4's. IMPORTANT: Only open the pedal when disconnected from power as it runs high voltages inside.
