The RD707 was produced in Japan by Fujigen for a single year from 1989-1990. It served as the little brother of the nearly identical RD727 with the main difference between them being visual changes and upgraded electronics.

This RD707 however was upgraded with EMG Pickups and active electronics at some point in its lifespan, giving it a significant tonal improvement over either version of the model.

Both are very rare due to the age and limited production time and have a cult following from the combination of comfort and agility of the lightweight body and extremely thin neck profile, as well as the quality from the Japanese manufacturing.

The overall condition is excellent for its age. It's very clean all around, with the most noticeable flaw being a small bump on the edge of the body below the controls. It's otherwise a beautiful bass that was well taken care of and is in great condition.

The playability as expected of a Fujigen made bass is extremely good. The action is very low at just under 2.0mm making it very easy to play. The neck is straight and the frets are in good condition. All hardware including the truss rod functions perfectly and it weighs in at a very comfortable 7.5Ibs.
