This is a very cool FM tone generator from 1987. Hook up any keyboard or midi controller to it, take the line out, and you’re off to the music! I used it primarily for its especially warm, brass-y and sine-y leads (think Mort Garson’s “Plantasia” sounds) and its harder bass sounds (famous patch in the C Bank called ‘Lately Bass’ that is THE synth bass sound of the late 80s due to its use in the Janet Jackson hit “What Have You Done For Me Lately?”). There are also many simple tones that are great for experiencing the building blocks of synthesis. To my ears, there really is something ”better” about the sounds that come from this thing than the sounds you get from synth plug-ins! Please feel free to ask any questions 👍
