Recently Restored 1971 Hiwatt DR103. This amp was purchased in 2024 and has had the following work performed by Long Island Sounds:
- Replaced the power transformer with Mercury Magnetics. The output transformer is Original Partridge
- Replaced Impedance and Voltage Selectors (Male). The sockets located in the amp are original.
- Replaced the bias resistor. The amp is currently Biased at 37mA with 450V on the Plates.
- Replaced Electrolytic and Can Capacitors
- A few replaced resistors/capacitors in the preamp. We have used vintage Piher's and Mustards to match the original components.
- Hole from previous owner in front panel is covered with black electrical tape
Amp sounds killer, nails the Gilmour/Pink Floyd tones. Is missing the back cabinet panel but functions perfect. Message with any questions.
