1976 Gibson Marauder in the highly desirable Wine Red finish with a rosewood fingerboard and vintage hardshell case.

The guitar retains its original pickups. The volume and tone electronics were replaced approximately 20 years ago. The tuners are also replacements, are not original to the guitar, and function properly. Everything is currently working properly, and the controls operate smoothly with no scratchy pots.

The guitar plays very well. It was recently set up for D’Addario XL Nickel Wound Regular Light strings, with the intonation and action adjusted. Current string clearance is approximately 0.032" at the first fret and 0.110" at the 12th fret, with no buzzing at this setup.

Cosmetically, this is a well-played vintage instrument and has numerous scratches, dings, finish wear, and other imperfections consistent with its age. There is notable finish wear/flaking near the top of the neck/headstock area; please see the photos for condition. One of the side fret markers is recessed compared with the others, as shown in the photos. I have left the vintage finish as-is rather than attempting cosmetic restoration.

The vintage case looks original but this has not been confirmed and has a solid wood shell. The handle and all latches are functional, but it is heavily worn and distressed. The interior lining has become matted with age, so additional foam or padding would be advisable for transport. Despite the wear, the case has a great vintage appearance and complements the guitar well.

Overall, this is a very playable vintage Marauder with its original Wine Red finish and original pickups. Please review all photos carefully for cosmetic condition and the disclosed replacement parts.
