Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci Signature JP15 2018

I have a beautiful 2018 Ernie Ball Music Man JP 15 featuring roasted Maple here. With its original hard shell case. It weighs 7lbs 5 ounces.

This guitar is in excellent condition and is easy to describe.On the body top, I found just a tiny surface amount of guitar pick strumming below the two pickups. Any similar superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal anywhere else on the guitar body. I did not find any patterns or any accumulation of soft surface swirling. I found one tiny little scuff mark in the finish, about a millimeter in size, below the lowermost knob where the top meets the edge.There are no neck pocket cracks. I did not find any buckle rash or any worming. There are no penetrating finish scratches, and I did not find any dings, nor any fading to the lustrous high-gloss finish.

The neck looks excellent throughout. I found faint signs of use on the tip of the headstock—no chips or dings, but tiny little micro signs of use less than a millimeter in size. I did not find any singular describable marks or playwear on the neck. There are no sharp fret ends. It really looks and plays fantastic. The electronics are stock and working perfectly, including the piezo, which has been thoroughly tested.

This one rates a 9.6/10 and grades as excellent. This is the better side of excellent. It’s a very well-kept guitar with hardly any signs of use at all. These are always my favorite kind of used guitars to get my hands on. This one is a beauty.

The JP15 stands out to me in the JP series because of its beautiful and toneful roasted maple neck. I hear the punchy and dynamic tonality of the maple in this guitar. JP15s of this time period are actually all BFR guitars; they are marked that way on their neckplates. That is their absolute high level. They use wood that the luthiers cherry-pick from the best of the best. This definitely translates to tone. This guitar has lots of detail and subtle harmonic content that you will feel as much as hear. This gives the instrument a depth of tonality that you don’t get bored of when you play long sessions with it. Great guitars draw you in with their tone. You pay for the best and get the best at this level.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides, and sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box, always marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars a half step prior to shipment as well, if needed.
