For sale is my Epiphone 1958 Korina Explorer, made in the Czech Republic at the Bohemia Musico-Delicia factory around 2000.

I bought this guitar new in early 2001 after seeing The Edge play an Explorer in U2's Beautiful Day video, and it has been with me ever since. So unlike many instruments of this age, its history is known from new.
The guitar is in very good original condition and has never been modified. Pickups, electronics and hardware are all original and everything works as it should.
The only change is a set of strap safety locks. This is completely reversible and the original strap buttons are included.
The guitar shows normal minor signs of use and age. There is a small ding on the body, which is clearly shown in the photos. The neck, neck joint and the Explorer's notoriously vulnerable tips are in very good condition for a guitar of this age. Please have a look at the detailed photos, which are intended to show the condition as transparently as possible.
The gold hardware shows some natural ageing/patina, as you would expect after approximately 25 years.

Also included is a custom-made Thon flight case, which I had specifically made for this Explorer by Thomann. It has a fitted foam interior and offers considerably more protection than a standard gig bag or universal guitar case.
The flight case itself weighs approximately 11 kg / 24.3 lb.
This is one of the comparatively uncommon Czech-made Epiphone Korina Explorers rather than one of the later Asian-made versions.
A great example of an early Korina Explorer with known one-owner history, original hardware and electronics, and a proper custom flight case.
The guitar will be packed carefully for shipping. Please note that due to the substantial flight case, the complete package is relatively large and heavy.
