I am the original owner of this Blackmachine F8. I purchased it directly from Doug in London. Doug is the engineer who hand makes Blackmachine Guitars. He makes them alone and only produces maybe 1-2 guitars per year. He has told me this is the highest spec Blackmachine ever made. Condition is like new. It has seriously been treated like a fine work of rare and expensive art. Its perfect! 
Some history on the woods include:  
A one piece 60 year old air dried piece of rare genuine Honduran mahogany from an old growth tree for the body. 
Restricted species of South American Rosewood neck with solid black Ebony stripes. 
Giant thick very old air dried old growth curl maple one piece World Class Grade Quilted Maple top. If you look closely at the top you may find that its better than anything private stock in the entire world. There may be nothing like it in existence. This is what Doug told me when I bought it and he very well may be accurate. Maple trees today just dont produce this type of figure and dont get to grow large enough for something like this anymore.

Body is chambered to the Blackmachine "secret" standard. Balance is phenomenal and tone is amazing. Highs sing. Cleans are unmatched by almost everything, and the low end is clean, warm, and clear. The nut width is smaller so the neck feels like a 7 string, not an 8 string. The neck is pushed into the body so that the length of the neck feels like a 6 string even though its 25.5"-28" long. The body is the same size as your average Ibanez 6 string. The guitar does not feel large because its not large as you may expect from most 8 string guitars. This has always been Doug's passion, to make an 8 string that feels like a 6. It is truly a work of art and a wonder to play and listen to.
