Ibanez LA Custom Shop BTB 37" TESSERACT - 2021 - Flamed Maple -

A one of one Ibanez LACS BTB 37" 4 string designed and built by Tak Hosono in Los Angeles. Mike Orrigo and Tak at Ibanez started the design and specs for this just before COVID hit in 2019, and it took two years to build and arrive as a result! But, it was worth it! James and myself have known Mike since day one of TesseracT touring the US, so it was lovely to work together on this project, and for it to create such a beast of a bass. Phenomenal instrument, but it's spending it's days in a case after my partnership with Dingwall began. So many options, and yes, so many knobs, as well!

REMARKS

Flamed maple to cover neck block on body top

Used during the recording of War Of Being at Middle Farm studios in 2023 - specifically on Legion, and Tender. As well as TESSERACT's Latin American tour in 2023. This bass was also used on the Daniel Tompkins RUINS tour in 2022, as well as on some pickups for Dan's Ruins Live show. I also used it heavily during the TWITCH ERA of TesseracT.

There are some marks from touring in a case that were caused by the metal elements on a bass guitar strap squashing into the wood.
