This is an original late-1960s Rosac Nu-Fuzz, designed by Ed Sanner following his work on the legendary Mosrite Fuzzrite.

And as far as we know, this one has lived its entire life right here in Bakersfield, California, where it was created. Looking at the wear on it, it certainly wasn’t sitting in somebody’s closet. God knows what Bakersfield musician, session player or local legend stepped on this thing over the last 55+ years. We may never know, and that’s part of what makes it cool.

Now, guess what? We’re in Bakersfield.

Want to take a guess who very recently serviced this one?

Ed Sanner himself.

Yep. More than half a century after designing the Nu-Fuzz, Ed personally went through this very pedal and serviced it. It’s working properly and ready to go.

The original gold enclosure has plenty of honest wear, scratches, checking and exposed metal. We wouldn’t dream of trying to pretty it up. This thing looks like a piece of Bakersfield music history because that’s exactly what it is.

These don’t come around very often to begin with. Finding one that’s apparently never wandered far from where it was born and was very recently serviced by the man who designed it is another thing entirely.
