2016 PRS McCarty 594 in Black Gold Burst, and this is a first year build with a serious flame maple top under the burst, the kind of figure that shifts as you move it around. It's in excellent condition and all original, with some scratching on the back of the body and light pick swirl, nothing major and nothing you'd notice from playing distance. The 594 is Paul's take on a late 50s guitar built without the compromises, and the details bear that out: mahogany body with a carved figured maple top, mahogany neck in the Pattern Vintage carve, which is a touch thicker front to back with an asymmetrical shape that's fuller on the bass side, rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and bird inlays, and the 24.594 inch scale that gives the model its name and the easy string tension that comes with it. Pickups are the 58/15 LT humbuckers, low turns and lower output, voiced to get at that open airy PAF character, wired to two volumes and two push/pull tones for coil splits plus a three way toggle up on the upper bout where you'd expect it. Two piece stoptail bridge and Phase III locking tuners. Comes with the PRS hardshell case, and the original hang tag is there too, dated 9/13/16 with the specs written out by hand.
