This Gibson Custom Made to Measure F-5G takes the modern F-5G platform and gives it a custom Purple Sparkle top finish. It keeps the professional Gibson F-style mandolin build intact while adding a finish that is far outside the standard mandolin look.

The carved Sitka spruce top is paired with a figured red maple body for strong projection, clear note definition, and the cutting response players expect from a proper F-style instrument. The Purple Sparkle top makes this one immediately recognizable while still keeping the core F-5G recipe unchanged.

The figured red maple neck features Gibson’s Wide Neck profile, an ebony fingerboard, 14" radius, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and 20 medium frets. It is built for a comfortable, precise feel that works well for stage use, recording, and serious acoustic playing.

Hardware includes an ebony bridge, Grover tuning machines, nickel hardware, and a nickel-plated tailpiece cover engraved with Gibson. A historic scroll headstock, mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and flowerpot inlay, and hardshell case complete the package.
