The NHT PVC (Passive Volume Controller) is designed to adjust audio levels without adding color to the sound. It is a high quality, neutral “no gain, no pain” desktop stereo rotary volume control for precise sonic adjustments - often used with powered speakers. This is an NHT PVC Pro, the professional-grade version for maximum noise isolation.
• Ground Isolation: The unit utilizes premium Jensen transformers to mechanically isolate the ground. This essentially eliminates hum, buzz, and ground loop noise without altering the audio signal.
• Form Factor: Built in a compact, rugged metal enclosure that is 1U in height and roughly 1/3 of a standard rack width. It is an excellent heavy desktop or shelf unit that won't slide around.
• Purely Passive: Because it requires no external power, it introduces zero electronic coloration or noise floor to your signal chain.
