This early Miktek C7 pair consists of two large-diaphragm, multi-pattern FET condenser microphones, ideal for stereo recording applications. Known for combining vintage character with modern performance, the C7 pair offers exceptional clarity and versatility.
Both mics are currenty set to 48V capsule voltage, as that provides a warm classic sound with a smooth top end. Switching to 60V on the inside of each mic housing offers a very modern, articulate, and accurate sound.
Mic rebiasing and pair matching done at Miktek in Nashville in 2016 to ensure that the microphones would continue to sound the same. TEF frequency response printouts for each mic were provided to me as part of the 2016 rebiasing and pair matching (SEE PICTURES). These early Miktek C7's are hard to come by, and many feel they are better than the present version. Each mic has a separate S/N, and the foam in the locking microphone case was modified to fit both included stained wood microphone boxes. The included shock mounts will not fit in the locking case and will be boxed separately with your purchase. Standard stand mic clips are also included in each stained wood box.
Amazing find for any audio engineer or studio!
