DPA 2011A microphone

DPA 2011A microphone. These rarely pop up used and have only gone up in value!

I had many of these and this was the newest but I just don't need so many mics anymore as I rarely record anything.

This one has some cometic marks as you can see in the picture and one of the front screen things was cracked/a tiny bit dented but it's just the metal mesh protector - not easy to see it's so small. The capsules are actually an inch and a half or so within the microphone anyways. It sounds the same as any of the other 2011a's I've had.

I had 2011-C's before but the 'A' preamp definitely sounds better.

The dual small diaphragm capsules at Ø5mm are as small as it gets: even earthworks are Ø7mm.

This means it's pretty much going to have the fastest transient response/etc you can get in a microphone.

2011A's are my favorite/Desert-Island Mic's. They are great on everything -vocals to instruments and even as a boom pole mic!

One neat fact about the dual capsules is that it will have less proximity effect and less chance of pops or plosives and from air than a single larger diaphragm: for example a 2012 or 4011A will pop/have air issues more often than 2011's.
