Offering a custom-built replica of a 1930's-40's style Ring/Spring Dynamic Microphone. We have used all modern components for this piece...an 8" aluminum ring, center housing with internal dynamic element suspended by 8 springs, and wired to a 6 foot cable with male 1/4" phono plug. The ring is threaded to a heavy 5" diameter iron-based adjustable-height desk stand, with an overall total height measuring 18"-24". The ring can also be used with any other desk stand or floor stand. (You can hear a voice sample recorded on this microphone by checking out the video on this listing.) The pickup is unidirectional with great side and rear rejection, perfect for desktop recordings, blogs, heavily amplified onstage performances, speeches, or theatre productions. The mic is completely compatible with any modern mixer or amplifier, no external power required.
