This is a 150-watt, 3-channel Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier professionally rebuilt and modified by Hermansson Amplification in Sweden, featuring Hermansson’s 4 Gain Stages circuit on the Red and Orange channels. Also comes with a Mesa Footswitch.

This is an extremely aggressive, tight and unique take on the Triple Rectifier platform, with considerably more control over the response and voicing than a stock Rectifier.

Hermansson modifications/features include:

• Hermansson 4 Gain Stages circuit – Red & Orange channels

• Complete rebuild of all three channels

• Two 2-way Bright switches

• Two 2-way Tight switches

• One 2-way Mid switch

• Hermansson faceplate

• Adjustable bias (installed prior to the Hermansson modification)

• Currently tubed with Electro-Harmonix EL34s

The 4 Gain Stages circuit is designed to provide a tighter distortion response, increased dynamics and reduced overall noise compared with the original circuit. The additional Bright, Tight and Mid switching provides a wide range of control over the amp’s feel and voicing.

This amp can produce an extremely tight modern high-gain sound straight into the amplifier without requiring an external boost/OD, although pedals can of course still be used depending on your guitar, tuning and preference.

A video from Hermansson Amplification demonstrating THIS EXACT AMPLIFIER after the modification is included with the listing, so you can hear the actual amp rather than another example of the same modification.

The original Hermansson invoice/documentation for the work will also be included with the sale. A redacted copy can be provided upon request.

I recently purchased the amp here on Reverb and I'm glad I had the opportunity to try a Hermansson-modded Rectifier for myself. Ultimately, I've decided to move it along and put the funds toward a Rev F, which is the direction I want to go with my current rig.

Located in Southern California. Local pickup preferred, but I'm willing to ship through Reverb as well.

Would also consider a trade for a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Rev F.
