Not cheap but there's a reason for that - it's Mint ! £850.00 Ono

Got another piece of art up for grabs — honestly looks brand new. Barely used, never gigged, lived its whole life in a smoke‑free home.

If you’re chasing that sweet spot between vintage tube warmth and modern clarity, this Van Weelden Royal Overdrive is the kind of pedal that makes you stop mid‑riff and go “oh… THAT’S the sound.” It’s boutique, it’s musical, and it reacts to your playing like a great amp does — touch‑sensitive, harmonically rich, and stupidly inspiring.

This thing nails the vibe of a cranked old tube amp without the volume wars. The cascading gain stages give you everything from smooth bluesy breakup to fat, singing lead tones that cut without ever getting harsh. It’s the kind of overdrive that doesn’t mask your guitar — it enhances it. Single coils stay articulate, humbuckers stay thick and chewy, and the pedal just feels alive under your fingers.

Dialing it in is dead simple: Gain, Tone, Level — no menu diving, no weird quirks. Just plug in, twist a couple knobs, and you’re in the zone. And because it’s true bypass, your clean tone stays pure when it’s off. Built like a tank with high‑end components, it’s the sort of pedal you can trust on stage, in the studio, or on a board that travels.

Whether you’re laying down warm rhythm textures or pushing out soaring lead lines, the Royal Overdrive delivers that boutique, amp‑like response players obsess over. It’s versatile, musical, and honestly one of those pedals that makes you play longer than you meant to.

Highlights:

• Boutique cascading gain stages for rich, dynamic, amp‑like overdrive
• True bypass for a clean, untouched signal when disengaged
• Simple, intuitive controls — easy to dial in any tone
• Built with premium components for long‑term reliability
• Works beautifully with both single coils and humbuckers
• Equally at home in blues, rock, jazz, fusion, and anything tone‑focused

If you want an overdrive that actually feels like part of your rig — not just another pedal — the Royal Overdrive is one of the greats.
