This example is in mint, essentially unplayed condition and has been carefully kept rather than gigged. If you've been looking for a 4003AC as both an instrument and a collectible, this is the kind of example worth waiting for.

Created with Al Cisneros of Sleep and OM, the 4003AC isn't simply a standard 4003 with signature cosmetics. Rickenbacker gave the model a distinctive specification of its own, including:

• Neck-through maple construction
• Bound maple fingerboard
• Distinctive green Sleep-inspired triangle inlays
• Dual hot-wound Rickenbacker treble pickups
• Re-engineered Rickenbacker bridge/tailpiece

• Natural/oil-style finish highlighting the walnut

The combination of the walnut body and dual hot-wound pickups gives the AC its own character within the Rickenbacker 4000-series family. And visually, the natural walnut, maple board and green inlays make it one of the most distinctive limited-edition basses Rickenbacker has produced.
