I am offering here an ESP E-II RZK-II Burnt from 2019, a handcrafted premium singlecut signature electric guitar model by Rammstein guitarist Richard Z Kruspe from the Signature Series of the renowned Japanese premium guitar forge ESP, featuring a contoured, solid alder body, three-piece maple neck in neck thru construction with slim Thin “U” neck profile and 42mm locking nut, bound rosewood fingerboard with elaborate Rammstein Cross mother-of-pearl inlays and 24 XJ frets, powerful HH pickup configuration consisting of two active EMG81 humbuckers, high-quality Gotoh tuners and original Floyd Rose tremolo bridge in an impressive burnt distress finish with chrome hardware in excellent collector’s condition including black ESP luxury hardshell case, certificate of authenticity (C.o.A.) and professional setup with 9-42 Elixir Optiweb strings.

The RZK-II was created as an uncompromising signature instrument for Richard Z. Kruspe, guitarist and co-founder of Rammstein. Kruspe’s monumental rhythm guitar playing and precisely engineered high-gain sounds play a major role in shaping the band’s distinctive sound, and his ESP signature model is accordingly designed for powerful, precise, and modern rock and metal sounds. The E-II version is manufactured in Japan and combines the extraordinary RZK aesthetics with the high-quality craftsmanship and uncompromising hardware for which ESP’s premium Japanese instruments are renowned.

In terms of construction, the RZK-II clearly stands out from classic single-cut models. The solid, ergonomically contoured alder body ensures a direct response and a tight, balanced fundamental character, while the three-piece maple neck in a neck-through construction provides a particularly stable structure, excellent access to the higher frets, and long sustain. With a 648mm scale length, the instrument combines defined string tension with the familiar playability of modern ESP guitars. Even lower tunings are no problem.

The slim “Thin U” neck profile is typical of ESP and ensures comfortable handling even during fast riffs, complex chord voicings, and technically demanding leads. The bound rosewood fingerboard, featuring a 12"-radius and 24 extra-jumbo frets, offers plenty of room for bends and fast runs. The elaborate Rammstein Cross mother-of-pearl inlays add a distinctive visual accent.

Sonically, two active EMG 81 humbuckers deliver high output, tight bass, aggressive upper mids, and exceptionally precise reproduction even at high gain settings. Especially during deep, heavily distorted rhythm parts, the attack remains clearly defined, while leads feature pronounced sustain and high cut-through. The deliberately minimalist electronics—featuring just a volume control and a 3-way switch—keep the signal path straightforward.

A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.

The original Floyd Rose tremolo system, combined with the locking nut and high-quality Gotoh tuners, enables all kinds of vibrato techniques and dive-bomb effects with excellent tuning stability.

Visually, the brutally raw and industrial-looking Burnt Distress Satin finish immediately catches the eye, authentically giving the instrument the striking, worn-out look of a guitar that’s been burned and abused to the extreme. The partially matte chrome hardware and the Rammstein Cross mother-of-pearl inlays blend seamlessly into the wildly grained rosewood fretboard, complementing this aggressive aesthetic. In short, a signature instrument with tremendous recognition value!
